33rd day of Sikkim Chief Minister's Village to Village Tour




Gangtok: 26th July:  The Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Chamling on his 33rd day of village to village tour has inaugurated a pig breeding farm constructed under Rastriya Krishi Vikash Yojna at Assam Gaucharan Veterinary Dispensary Complex, Pastenga, Gaucharan today. The farm constructed by Animal Husbandry Department of the state government at the total project cost of Rs.1,26,06,594/- has the capacity of 55 numbers of adult parent stock of Large White Yorkshire breed. He also inaugurated the Veterinary Sub Centre at Rizey, Namok and inspected the sub centre.
While addressing the people assembled at Assam Lingzey SSS the Chief Minister sanctioned in principle the Auditorium Hall for the school and declared to open Science and Commerce stream in the school. Further, he said that the discrepancy in the salary of the primary teachers shall be solved by August by the government. The Chief Minister also declared to establish Assam Lingzey Bazar, whichwas the demand of the people and asked the people to search for suitable land which will be purchased by the government for the purpose.

Talking about the tourism development in Assam Lingzey and adjoining areas the Chief Minister said that a man made attraction to bring the tourist to this place shall be constructed by the government in consultation with the people of the area. Talking about the various pro poor policies of
the government the Chief Minister said that the government has a time bound target. Our every activity is people centric targeted to capacity building and providing employment opportunity to the people for their sustainable development , the Chief Minister said.The Chief Minister addressed the people at Chongaytar, Rizey-Namok, Assam Lingzey Sr. Sec. School and Basilakha under Namcheybong GPU.
