Five more girls rescued by Sikkim Police

Sikkim Police on the look out for another suspect

GANGTOK, September 15: Sikkim Police have rescued two more girls from one of the hotels in Siliguri in and three girls from Ranipool in connection with the human trafficking racket.
Police sources at Sadar Police Station informed that the girls were rescued after they made a call to Vidur Rai, who was arrested yesterday on charges of immoral traffic.
It may be recalled here that on a tip off, Sadar Police had rescued seven girls from the Capital on the night of September 14. The girls were allegedly lured by Vidur Rai and others with ‘lucrative’ job offers in five star hotels in Mumbai and Goa.
Meanwhile, Puran Bardewa from Adampool, another suspect in the case has also been taken under police custody. Police is interrogating him, sources informed.
Till the time of filing this report, the Police team was on the look out for one Raj Gurung, yet another suspect in the case
