BSNL 3G mobile services in Gangtok starts

GANGTOK, September 16: Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) today became the first telecom service provider with the launch of state of art technology third generation (3G) services in Sikkim.


About Rs 170 million will be spent on development of 3G mobile network in the state during the current financial year.
``All the villages in the state will be connected by broad band network by the 3G of the current financial year``, said S K Mahato, general manager telecom, BSNL.
