Sikkim Governor’s Gold Cup 2009 To Held In September



The 31st All India Sikkim Governor's Gold Cup Football Tournament 2009 conducted by the Sikkim Football Association will be held at the Paljor Stadium, Gangtok from September 7 to September 20, 2009


Gangtok,August13: The tournament is likely to be declared open by Shri Balmiki Prasad Singh, H.E. the Governor of Sikkim while Dr. Pawan Chamling, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim is likely to be the Guest of Honour on the occasion.

The negotiations are going on with the following football teams to participate in one of the prestigious football tournaments of India. Sikkim Governor's Gold Cup is always regarded as a mini South Asian Games where teams from most the neighboring countries of India suchas Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan participate.
