RANGPO, October05: The Tarkhola stretch along the National Highway 31-A will be opened for all vehicles from October 5.
Tired by long traffic jams because of the temporary single way road constructed by the Border Roads Organisations, drivers have breathed a sigh of relief over the news.
The 50 mtr road at Tarkhola attached with Tarkhola Bridge was washed away on September 17 causing much difficulty for transportation. The persistent rains had triggered large scale road damage that led to the complete collapse of the road and the bridge. Refilling works caused due to landslips and cave ins have are been carried out rapidly to meet the deadline
