CM DIRECTED AUTHORITIES ON RESTORATION OF NH-31A


Gangtok, September 5: In view of the incessant rainfall and bad road condition, the Chief Minister Pawan Chamling immediately after arriving from Delhi took serious note of the situation and issued direction to the entire concerned department to ensure proper and adequate supply of essential commodities in the state. Reviewing the entire situation, it was reported that there is no shortage of essential commodities like food grains, LPG, Petrol, Diesel etc. The Chief Minister has also taken up the matter of immediate restoration of NH-31A at a war footing with the BRO Authorities. Further Secretary, Food & Civil Supplies Department has also communicated with District Magistrate, Darjeeling District for commuting of vehicles carrying essential commodities to Sikkim via Darjeeling-Kurseong road from Siliguri.
