Gangtok April 15: A new Service,the sikkim state agriculture engineering service has been constituted by the state government and the Service Rules applicable to the service formulated by DoP Deptt.
As of now, the Service has a capacity of 13 personnel with the provision for further changes from time to time. The 5 posts which accommodate 13 personnels in this Service are :
· Chief Engineer in super time grade [agriculture engineering] : 1post
· Additional Chief Engineer Selection Grade I :1 post
· Superintending Engineer Selection Grade II : 1 post
· Executive Engineer Senior Grade : 2 posts
· Assistant Engineer Junior Grade : 8 posts
All posts requires candidates to be a degree holder in Agricuture
Engineering. The respective scale of pay has been also notified.
All persons holding,on the appointed day, any of the cadre posts, other than as purely temporary arrangement or on on contract or on deputation from Central or any other State department, shall be deemed to have been appointed to the corresponding posts and grade in the service.
Recruitment to the service shall, with effect from the date of publication of these rules, be by methods of Competitive Examinations to be held by SPSC, Govt. of Sikkim.
For the first 4 posts mentioned above, the method of recruitments is to be 100% by way of promotion while the posts of assistant engineers to be filled by recruitments.All other relevant rules pertaining to reservation, trainning, eligibility and selection criteria has also been notified by DoP for this new Service
