GANGTOK, April 23: Even the evening torrent failed to create hindrances to the Rotarians in conducting a day long lecture series on positive living today at Modern Secondary School, Gangtok.
Emphasising on positive and negative living, the chief guest of the day DIG (Range) Akshaye Sachdeva today spoke on the ground reality of a purpose in life through which one can bring in much difference in the society at large.
Sachdeva said positive living implies a life of optimism with good health, happiness, joy, courage and like positive characteristics, while negative living entails life of misery and sorrow.
The chief guest during the course of his deliberations also added that one should always be courageous to overcome challenges of life with all optimism – who eventually reckons themselves as successful individuals. “The need of the hour is that every person should emphasise on what one can contribute for the state of Sikkim rather than rearing an imaginary thought as to what the state can do for them”, Sachdeva added.
Earlier the President and Vice President to Rotaract Club of Gangtok, Youth Wing of Rotary Club of Gangtok also addressed the students. Worth mentioning was a question hour, wherein several queries related to positive living was put up by the students, which were candidly answered by the chief guest.
