GANGTOK, April 22: Answering a news item dated 22 April in a local Nepali daily ‘Aaba Chamling Sarkar Ko Aayu Lamo Chaina’ the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party today refuted the oppositions’ assertion as ignited of ‘jealousy’ against the SDF’s steady successes.
The SDF statement today condemned all allegations and comments of the Sikkim Himali Rajya Parishad (SHRP) party’s President, Dr AD Subba considering the allegations as cheap attempts of the oppositions to malign the SDF.
“It is like a fox attempting to reach the grapes. Failing to get to the grapes, it announced that grapes are sour. Likewise, these foxes can never prove the SDF wrong in any way, so they resort to accuse SDF blindly that proves cheap on them”, the SDF lambasted today.
The party also made it clear that neither a fraction nor cold war is on within the SDF party, in contrast to which each member and the MLAs rear a bond that no outer force can influence or break – integrated by the party President Pawan Chamling. The party said the effect can be seen in the cooperations and devotions in which various development activities are being carried out in all the constituencies of the state.
Against carrying malicious news items, the SDF opined individuals behind such news reports and newspapers are without any sentiments for the land and are being utilised by the oppositions. Adjudging the oppositions jealous of SDF success stories in the last 13 years, the party in its release today also pointed the opposition’s failure to organise even a single constructive programme before the Sikkimese masses.
