TT Dorjee is new Chief Secretary of Sikkim

Gangtok, Aug 11 Senior IAS officer T T Dorjee has been elevated to the post of the Chief Secretary in the latest administrative reshuffle effected by the Sikkim government, according to an official notification.

Dorjee, an IAS officer of 1975 batch, has taken over as the Chief Secretary from another senior IAS official N D Chingapa, who has been appointed as the Advisor to the state government.

Dorjee was the Additional Chief Secretary-cum- Financial Commissioner and had served as the Chief Electoral Officer of the state election department for over 15 years.

In other transfers, the Development Commissioner Karma Gyatso has been appointed as the Additional Chief Secretary in place of Dorjee. He will also hold the Charge of development, planning, economic reforms and North-East Council affairs.

Ongu has been transferred to the Finance Department in the same capacity. She will hold the additional charge of the Social Justice and Empowerment department.

The State Bank of Sikkim (SBS) Managing Director Bijoy Pratap Pradhan has been repatriated and posted as the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Commerce and Industries department in place of the IAS official MG Kiran who will hold the additional charge of the SBS Managing Director
