Sikkim Governor & Sikkim Chief Minister Dr. Pawan Chamling & Mrs.Chamling Greets People on Tendong Lho Rum Faat


Gangtok: Tendong Lho Rum Faat-A Lepcha festival to mark the celebration of Tendong Hill. According to legend, the hill rose like a horn during the 'great flood' and saved the people. Today is 'Tendong Lho Rum Faat', the Lepcha traditional festival paying tribute to Sikkim's Guardian Deity, and the 3rd highest mountain in the world,Khangchendzonga.

The Sikkim Government College is the venue of the celebration of this festival which commenced yesterday with prayers and religious ceremonies and Today a cultural programme is being organised in auditorium of Sikkim Government College,Tadong where Chief Minister Dr.Pawan Chamling is scheduled to grace the occassion as its Chief Guest along with prominent members of Lepcha Community.

Meanwhile,Sikkim Chief Minister Dr.Chamling & Mrs.Chamling in their messages to people of Sikkim on Occassion of Tendong Lho Rum Faat extended their greetings and good wishes and prayers.
Sikkim Governor in his message conveys "May the dawn of Tendong Lho Rum Faat usher progress,happiness and prosperity among the people of Sikkim"
