Nepal Football players On Way To Sikkim Injured in accident;




Football players in accident; Surendra Tamang suffers injury

Reports coming from Itahari confirmed that national and NTSC striker Surendra Tamang has fractured his knee during an accident while the football team was heading for Sikkim to play in a football tournament there.
The micro bus skidded off the road and hit a tree leaving more than 6 players injured. The physician has requested Tamang to stay in bed for some months after examining him and finding a fractured knee. The bus - Ko 1 Ja 881- survived the serious accident that might have been much worse had it not hit the tree.
"A" Division Players like Diwas Rai, Nirmal Tamang, Swastik Jung Basistha and Gudiya were released from a hospital after minor treatment. The team from Sunsari District was supposing to take part in Martyrs' Memorial Cup in Namchi, Sikkim.
