GANGTOK, August 03: Congress Legislative Party Leader, Acharya Tshering Lama, represented Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee today in the funeral of Kazi Lhendup Dorji Khangsapa at Rumtek.
During an interview conducted by the Doordarshan at Rumtek Crematorium, Acharya Lama spoke about Kazi Sahib’s contribution in providing special protection to the people of Sikkim under Article 371F. He expressed that true tribute to late Kazi Saheb will be to implement the provisions of Article 371F in both letter and spirit.
However, he voiced deficiency in the meaningful implementation of the same in the State and even to the extent of dilution of the same. Acharya Lama, thereupon requested both the State Government and the Central Government for implementation of the provisions of Article 371F in its true spirit
