TYAAG - light, camera, action


Gangtok: "TYAAG" which means sacrifice is the name of nepali film which was launched today at Hotel Sikkim Residency by Minister of UD& HD Shree D.D. Bhutia by giving the clap for first scene shot in which many local artists are playing substantial role.
Shree D.D. Bhutia who also happen to spirit behind recently held SWAR SIKKIM contest based on platformof Indian Idol that local production of films like Tyaag would be able to privide much needed platform to artistic talent pool that exists in Sikkim.The cost of filming the movieTYAAG is budgeted at Rs.30 Lakhs by its production team.
Bashain, a Nepali film based on a famous novel of the same name by Lila Bahadur Chettri, which was selected last year as the entry from Nepal in the Foreign Film category of the 2006 Academy Awards. Both the lead actors were from Sikkim.
