Sikkim Snippets

  • A total of 117 land owners have been affected by Teesta Urja Power Project stage III in North Sikkim and the total compensation of Rs.10,51,34,402 out of total amount of Rs.13,14,18,008 in cheques were handed over at Singhik and attended by the area MLA Dzongu SG Lepcha, AreaMLA Lachen-Mangshila cum Health Minister Hissey Lachungpa, DC(N) T.N.Kazi.
  • The 24th Border Personnel Meeting was held on the Chinese side at Nathula on 15th May and was attended by 15 members delegation each from the Indian Army led by the Brigadier SL Narasimhan and People's Liberation Army of China led by Senior Colonel Shi Hui Yang.
