- Urmila Uraw, a 18 year girl attempted to commit suicide by jumping from Akkar bridge, Jorethang. However, she was miraculously rescued by the people there. She had jumped from the elevation of 200 feet towards the river
- A 19 years boy named Dawa Pincho Lepcha died while getting down from the backside of a truck. It is alleged that when he was getting down, the truck driver speeded and the boy fall on the ground and injured. He was admitted at Singtam Hosptial where he died. The truck driver Krishna Bahadur Chhetri has been arrested.
