3rd Arrest in Central Bank of India ATM Pilferage Case

GANGTOK: The G4S ATM larceny of 2 May led to the arrest of the Diebold Engineer of the ATM booth on 13 May. The Diebold Engineer namely Prasanta Sharma (28), is a resident of Majjigeri in Nowgoan district of Assam, presently staying at Rai Cottage, Church Road in Gangtok.
The G4S ATM pilferage was reported on 2 May following complaint on Ranjan Roy, Regional Manager (East) of G4S Cash Services (India) Private Limited, Kolkata at the Sadar Police Station. According to Ranjan Roy, cash amount of Rs 2,83,800 was stolen away from the ATM vault by some unidentified individual(s).
The case has been register under Section 380 of the Indian Penal Code against theft in building, tent or vessel and is under investigation.
