Sikkim celebrates Baha'u'llah's 182nd birth anniversary




GANGTOK, November 17: Baha'is of Ranipool, Saramsa today celebrated the 182nd birth anniversary of Baha'u'llah, the founder of Baha'i faith Baha'u'llah in a grand manner.
Organised by the local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Ranipool, the programme was attended by many Baha'is of Gangtok, Tadong, Lumsay, Syari and the Baha'is of Ranipool, informs a press release.
Rupa Devi Sharma, Principal of Baha'i School, Tadong was present as the chief guest along with Kailash Pokhrel, Principal of Bahai Senior Secondary School, Saramsa and Rezwan Menezes, the ex Principal of Baha'i School, Tadong.
According to the release, the programme started with chanting of some Baha'i prayers and reading holy writing. Tika Dahal, Chairman of the Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Ranipool presented a talk on the importance of the day. He briefly narrated the life history of Baha'u'llah. He said Baha'u'llah is the promised one of all ages.
On the occasion, the youth and children of Ranipool and Gangtok also presented cultural dances and songs
