25 years of sisterhood in serving Sikkim


GANGTOK, November 21: In what may be an example to this materialistic world, Sr. Denise, who took her first vow to sisterhood on November 1, 1984, celebrated 25 years of her journey on November 12.
The silver jubilee celebration held at St. Joseph’s School, Martam, where she has served for the past 20 years was a solemn occasion. She is the Principal of the School at present.
His Lordship, Rev Bishop Stephen Lepcha, Bishop of Darjeeling Sikkim Diocese, Rev Fr. Feliz Baretto, Vicar general and Rev Paul Simick, Dean conducted the ‘holy mass’ ceremony on the joyous occasion.


Also present were Rev Sr. Anna Lepcha, Provincial of the Sister’s of St. Joseph’s of Cluny, Rev Sr. Erica, Principal, SJC, Kalimpong and a host of ex students.
The programme concluded with a culture programme staged by the students of the school
