CPT in finals of Governor’s Gold Cup

Gangtok,September20: Port Trust Sports Club (PTSC), Kolkata, has luckily entered the final of 31st All India Governors Gold Cup Football Tournament. PTSC defeated Chirag United Sports Club (CUSC) in extended tie-breaker in the last semi-final at Palzor Stadium.
Both teams were equal in the schedule time making a goalless draw. The play for 15-15 minutes extra time was also goalless. In the tie-breaker, shootouts again ended with a 5-5 draw.
In the extended tie-breaker, Chirag United player Josimar Dasilva Martins missed to goal and Port Trust player Ayan Chowdhary scored a goal thereby taking his team to final. Chirag United played from quarter final round and Kolkata Port Trust played from qualifying round. Four teams that entered semi final were all from Kolkata. In the first semi final match BNR, Kolkatta defeated George Telegraph, Kolkata.
Final will be played between BNR and Port Trust on Monday
