MANGAN, September 15: The North District Highway towards Chungthang via Toong-Naga has been blocked at Meyong Chu following a major landside, which was triggered by the heavy rains of September 13.
Commuters have been taking a detour from Meyong Power house side. The GREF labourers, engineers and officers have been involved in clearing the debris.
GREF officials said that they may take three to four days to clear the road for transportation.
At present, over 55 heavy goods carrier vehicles, petroleum tankers and around 30 light passenger vehicles are lined up at Meyong Chu.
