GANGTOK, September 12: A meeting was organized by the Akhil Kirat Rai Sangh (AKRS) for the preservation and propagation of the Rai language and script at Rai Chapcha Khim, Tadong in East Sikkim on September 12.Twelve Rai language resource persons had come to discuss on the publication of the Rai Language Grammar Book, informs a press release issued by AKRS president Dr. SK Rai.
The release also informs that all the resource persons brought their individual write ups to be assimilated for the Rai language grammar book. It will be published shortly by the AKRS and HRDD, the release said.
Till date, Rai langue dictionary and Rai language text books are available till class IV. Grammar Book known as ‘Rodung Sasan Yang’ and a Nepali Dictionary was also released on the day.
