SHRP : SDF SHOULD STICK TO ITS WORDS OF NOT TAKING IN INDEPENDENT CANDIDATES

GANGTOK, November 05: The Sikkim Himali Rajya Parishad (SHRP) party has said that the recent victory of the Independent candidates in the Panchayat poll has faced a threat from the ruling Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) party.
A press release issued by the party states that since the Chief Minster had earlier announced not to take in the independent candidates in its fold, the SHRP maintains that the party president should stick to his words.
The release further states that the party president should also give equal development and benefits to the people throughout the State through all the victorious Panchayats irrespective of Independent or party candidates.
“The government too failed to train the new voters on how to vote through electronic voting machine,” the release adds
