GANGTOK, November 05: At about 7:50 pm on November 4, a tractor engaged by one TUL met with an accident at Ringdong Road, Singkik as a result of which, one person succumbed to inquiries while on the way to Mangan hospital and leaving about eight people injured.
The injured persons were later evacuated from the hospital while the dead body was forwarded for autopsy.
In the meanwhile, the available witnesses were question interrogated.
A case has been registered under section 279/337/338/304 (A) of the IPC against the tractor driver on the written complaint from Karma.C. Lepcha who is also the Assistant Engineer at Tista Urga Limited, Singhik, North Sikkim.
The case is under investigation
