The Sikkim Democratic Front party releases its Panchayat election manifesto


Gangtok,October9: The Sikkim Democratic Front has launched its campaign for the coming election to the state Panchayat bodies with release of its party manifesto on Tuesday. The SDF party manifesto was officially released by its party president and Sikkim Chief Minister Dr.Pawan Chamling at function held in SDF party headquarter located in byepass area of capital Gangtok.

Addressing SDF party workers here on Tuesday, Sikkim Democratic Front Supremo Dr.Chamling once more reiterated that SDF party is committed to development and progress of Sikkim at all costs. All SDF supporters should dedicate themselves to this endeavour and work for betterment of society as a whole.

Dr.Chamling stated that election manifesto carries people centric programmes and policies to which he himself is personally responsible and dedicated to carry forward in rural areas of Sikkim. He called upon all to work for eradicating poverty,corruption,crimes against women,child exploitation in all villages with in State.

“It is the responsibility of political parties to ensure that law and order is not disturbed during the election,” he added.

He appealed to all political parties to ensure that the election became a “model election”.
