Gangtok, October 10: The State Election Commission has announced 26th October, 2007 as the date of election to the Gram Panchayats and Zilla Panchayats in Sikkim vide Notification No. 4/SEC/07-08 dated 24/09/2007.According to information received from Home Department, it is informed that for coordination on matters related to Panchayat Elections, a Control Room has been opened in the chamber of Special Secretary, Home Department.
