4 GOALS BY SUMAN TAKE SIKKIM POLICE TO SEMIS
Gangtok: Sikkim Police thrashed Boys Club 7-1 goal to reach the semi final of Independence Day Football tournament here at Palzor stadium on August 8. Speedy and tactful Sikkim Police men were no match for the lethargic Boys team. The first volley came in the 15th minute when Suman Dewan of Sikkim Police skillfully drove past the defence line of Boys club. In a span of next ten minutes came the second and third goal in the 20th and 25th minutes from Sonam Palzor leading the score 3 nil. Suman Dewan scored a brace in the 41st minute taking the tally to 4-0 goal. Despite much expectation, the Boys Club men were no match to the Sikkim Police men. Much to the embarrassment of the opponent, Chungden Sherpa scored yet again in the 55th minute, the fifth goal of the match.Boys Club tried to save their face when they scored in the 78th minute through Prithvi Gurung. However, one minute later in the 79th minute Suman Dewan scored his hattrick for Sikkim police taking the goal tally to 6-1 Suman Dewan of Sikkim Police once again in the penultimate time scored in the 89th minute of the game to fix the goal tally at 7-1.
