SDF 'angered' by Opposition rhetoric

Gangtok : The Sikkim Democratic Front has strongly reacted to reactions & comments of Opposition political parties and some associations as many of them have expressed their anguish and deep hurt by speech of Sikkim Chief Minister Dr. Pawan Chamling on occasion of India's 60 independence day celebrations at Palzor Stadium of Gangtok.

The hard hitting speech of Dr. Pawan Chamling on15 August sparked a big political controversy over the some of his direct reference to opponents and appropriacy of the national day as platform but SDF party has played it cool in a press release it has referred the speech of Dr. Chamling as one of the 'Krantikari' and praised everything Chief Minister has spoke out as the speech was delivered to answer all the forces that have been lately engaging themselves into anti-Sikkim,anti-development, anti-democracy and anti-national issues to tarnish the image of Sikkim Democratic Party, its government and its leader.Dr.Chamling's speech intent to unmask the hidden plans and agenda of people with vested interests,SDF press release added.
It has alleged that The opposition did and said worse things than what speech on Independence day spoke of.Meanwhile,Cheli Morcha wing of Sikkim Democratic Party has adopted a resolution welcoming the speech of Sikkim Chief Minister & SDF Supremo Dr.Chamling.
