Light Vehicles Traffic on NH-31 A May be restored by Tuesday Afternoon
Gangtok:Aug 27: A landslide, triggered by heavy rains, has disrupted traffic along the National Highway 31-A in West Bengal.
The highway 31-A connects Sikkim with Siliguri via Kalimpong.The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has deployed bulldozers and triggered explosives to clear rocks and boulders in Kalijhora. The 80 meter massive landslide could not be cleared today despite all round efforts as it has continue to slip on and off thus hindering the clearance works.
