Gangtok: The crown sits pretty on her head.She is all smiles and has great plans for future. She is beauty from Sikkim who has won many hearts and minds as winner of MISS TILOTAMA 2007. She was crowned in a glittering function attended by folks from glamour world such as Modelturned actor Zulfi Sed,Writer Shobha De, Ace Lensemen Raghu Rai,Former Beauty queen Mehr Ramphal, Vandana Luthra of VLCC and Style Icon fashion designer SabyaSachi.Apart from winning beauty crown, she was also adjusted as the best contestant with best health,beautiful hair and popular Akashtoma ,through SMS Poll. This is is the first time a girlfrom Sikkim has won a prestigeous beauty pagent .

"Ecstatic is what I felt when my namewas announced.It was unbelievable feeling." she says of the moment that changed her life forever.Naturally feeling on the top of the world but this level headed girl has not let the success get inside her pretty head."Iam still the same girl what I used to be before I was crowned," she says. Karishma pradhan like many girls of her age loves to listen to music and hangaround withher friends but grown up a lot in terms of self-confidence.Karishma believes that the faith in oneself is biggest propeller to success in life."I believe in myself".

This 18 years old introvert girl was born to Kamala and Rohit Pradhan of Gangtok.She got her primary education from St.Thomas School,Gangtok,She later joined Tashi Namgyal Academy and completed her class XII in Commerce. and at present,she is pursuing her B.Com in Symbiosis College of Pune.

Karisma says it was her parents and Jyoti Brahmin, former winnerof Miss Tilotama and Miss India Earth title who pursuaded her to participate in the contest. Now she plans to move to do natural course of things like going for participation in Miss India Contest and also plans to complete her MBA after graduation. "Education gives you the confidence and adds value to your personality.This,in turn, assists youin reaching out for your goals". She already started getting offers for modelling from many quarters.
