MAKING SIKKIM A DRUGS FREE STATE


RANGPO: The half yearly central meeting of the Yuva Jagaran Sangh, an NGO of Katyang at Rateypani constituency under South Sikkim, decided to organise awareness at various places of Rateypani for a ‘Drugs Free State’ and ‘Keep Sikkim Green’.
The meeting was attended by youths, chelis, Panchayats and other dignitaries who aswell decided to work in the fields of sports, games, culture, environment and in tourism sector. The club President Tashi Lepcha thanked the PWD Minister DT Lepcha for extending keen interest and contribution for construction of the statue of Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya at South Sikkim and assured full support from the Sangh family.
As the club President urged the youths to step ahead for development of the state, former teacher of Katyang School CB Tamang deliberated on the responsibilities of youth towards development of state and also pondered on the problems faced by villagers.
