Gangtok: The 7th National Expo 2007,a consumer exhibition, was inaugurated yesterday by Gangtok MLA NK Pradhan at Old Children's Park Shopping Complex opposite Sadar Thana.
The exhibition is organised by the Nayuma Woman's Co-operative Society,Gangtok in association with Siliguri based North-East Consumer Expo (NECE).
President of Nayuma WomenCo-operative Society Munna Pradhan informed that annual Expo even is mainly organised to provide a platform for local artisans and also artisans from various parties of country to exhibit their products and exposure to enable them exhange their ideas and cultures to further enhance their skills.
Proprietorof NECE, S.Ahmed informed that a total of 65 stalls from various parts of country are partcipating this year and includes 12 local stalls of Sikkim.
The Expo will continue till June 10, 2007.
