25 Years of Nepali Sahitya Parishad,Gangtok

Gangtok : N epali Sahitya Parishad Sikkim observed its silver jubilee at a function on April 14, the Nepali New year or Pahilo Baishak. Two Nepali literary luminaries Shri Leel Bahadur Chhetri from Assam and Magan Pathik from Bhaksu, Dehradun was awarded with Agam Smriti Puraskar. The Puraskar carries an amount of Rs. 50,000 ( in this case Rs. 25,000 each), citation, shawl and memento which was given away by the Chief Guest Shri S.M. Limboo the former Chief Minister and Advisor to CM.
Similarly, the winners of Swar Sikkim, Shri Milan Sharma, Shri Manoj Rai and Miss Anita Tamang who stood first, second and third respectively were felicitated on the occasion.
Shri Sanulama highlighted the brief history of Nepali Sahitya Parishad while Shri C.D. Rai spoke about Shri Leel Bahadur Chhetri and Magan Pathik.
