The bear attacked the man near Guards ground when he was cutting grass last evening and suffered from bites and scratches all over his face and body following the attack.
Police said the injured were shifted to STNM hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
Soon after the incident, people took to the streets and the wildlife department conducted a combing operation without any trace of bear .meanwhile,The Forest department has appealed people to avoid morning and evening walk in the area and also not to allow children to stay outside to avoid the frequent attacks by wild bears.
