Mr. Ansari visited Namgyal Institute of Tibetology

Gangtok,October29: Vice President Mr. Ansari visited Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (NIT), Deorali, Thursday afternoon. He was accompanied by Governor Balmiki Prasad Singh, Mrs. Karuna Singh, Chief Minister Dr. Pawan Chamling, HRDD Minister Mr. N.K.Pradhan, officials of the Institute.
Vice President released two CDs, one on ritual music from the Monasteries of Sikkim and another on Cham (dance) in the Sikkimese village of Phensong. He was given every information about the collections in the Institute museum by Kunga H. Hochochun, a Tebetan scholar.
Earlier on the day, Vice President along with his wife, accompanied by Governor and Chief Minister, among others, visited an Orchid farm at Assam Linzey in East Sikkim.
