Fun spot Savin kingdom

Don’t want to hop from one pandal to another and jostle for a view of Durga idols? Well, then take a plunge in the cool waters at Savin Kingdom or enjoy a cultural evening at Lifestyle. Here’s a peek at what is on offer for you during Puja.

SAVIN KINGDOM: When it comes to fun unlimited, the only amusement park in north Bengal located on the fringe of Siliguri takes the crown.

And if you want to enjoy the fun at a discounted rate, visit the amusement park and water kingdom there not before 12 noon and not after 3pm on Saptami, Astami, Nabami and Dashami.

Special attractions: Striking cars, monorails and flying saucer, break dance, paratrooper, tame the bull, wave pool, shower hobs, giant water bucket and artificial waterfall.

Charges: Entry tickets at Rs 100 for adults and Rs 80 for kids — Rs 50 and Rs 40 less than normal rates — for the amusement park. There is a 50 per cent discount on packages that come for Rs 180 and Rs 120 on regular days at the amusement park. “The discount rates are applicable only from 12pm to 3pm for the four days during Pujas,” said Alok Bhattacharjee, the manager (administration), Savin Kingdom.
