The Kolkata outfit surged ahead in the 13th second when striker Baba Tunde capitalised on a Madan Buchi pass to score from a close range even before any TFA player could even touch the ball.
The TFA, however, recaptured their rhythm soon to draw parity in the 13th minute through a header by striker Robin Singh.
BNR extended the lead yet again in the 27th minute.
Asim Das, Tunde (through his second) and substitute Pratim Sarkar - all joined the goal rush for the BNR to round off a comfortable 5-1 lead by the time the game had entered into injury time, when Robin Singh scored his second to pull one back for the TFA.
