Gangtok: A meeting of Sikkim Online News Agency (SONA) presided by Bijoy Bantawa, editor of http://www.himgirinepali.com/ , was held on Monday at Press Club of Sikkim premises. The meeting has decided to launch a website of SONA http://www.sonasikkim.com/ on 20th August at the premises of Press Club of Sikkim by Mrs. Niru Sewa, Information and Public Relation minister.
SONA will be an umbrella organization of Sikkims news online agency. At present it has 13 members. The main motto of forming this organization is to disseminate the news and views of Sikkim across the world through news portal, Mr. B.P.Bajgain, general secretary of the organization said.
SONA has ad-hoc committee. Mr Bantawa, the president of the organization, said after launching the website of the organization, a full-fledged committee would be formed for further action.
