Dr.Pawan Chamling: SDF Panchayat and municipal tickets only for those most committed
Gangtok :A high level meeting of the Sikkim Democratic Front held at party headquarter SDF Bhawan in Indira-bye pass road yesterday on July31. The meeting was started with observance of 2 minute silence in the respect of departed souls of Sikkim's first Chief Minister LD Kazi and late C.B.Rai,president of party's Jorethang constituency level committee . The meeting was addressed by party president and Sikkim Chief Minister Dr.Pawan Chamling who have once again emphasised in his address to party leaders and members gathered that only those people who were willing to sacrifice all for the welfare of Sikkim and its people would be chosen as candidates by SikkimDemocraticFront for the upcoming Panchayat and Municipality elections.
Highlighting the SDF government's people centric work and commitment to the well being of the poor for the past thirteen years,Mr Chamling urged the party members to commit themselves fully to the progress and development of the state and to abstain from indulging into anything otherwise.
Expressing disappointment at the endeavours of the selfish elements within and outside the state to protest developmental activities in state.He further stressed that no project visualized for the benefit of the Sikkim and its people would be stopped at any cost,adding that not only the interest of the present generation but also that of future were safeguarded.
