Gangtok: The Independence Day Football Tournament for Chogyal SirTashi Namgyal Memorial Cup 2007 is scheduled to begin on August 06 at palzor stadium of Gangtok . The tournament is being organised by Sikkim Footbal Association . The annual tournament is sponsored by Home department of government of Sikkim to mark the occasion of August 15 . SFA has invited more than 10 teams from in and outside Sikkim to play in the tournament.The prominent teams schedule to perform and demonstrate their soccer skills this year includes local teams like D'zongri Club,Boys Club,United Sikkim Sporting Club,Young Star,Sikkim Police,Sports Academy of Sikkim, and from outside the state siliguri team like Kishore Sangh,IISCO from Burnpur,Apex Football Club,Kalimpong,and UKFC from Kurseong are likely to play in the tournament as informed by Menla Ethenpa,General Secretary of Sikkim Football Association to media.
