Gangtok:Starting July,2007 - All visitors to Nathula willhave to paymore to reach.This must-visit border pass for every tourist coming to Sikkim have on their itinerary.
The latest notificationissued by the Home Department of Governmnet of Sikkim No.9/Home/2001 dated.05/02/2001invoking power conferred by clause(f) of sub-section 2of Section 3of the Sikkim Ecological Fund and Environment Cess Act,2005-the state government has prescribed an environment fee of Rs.200/-per head for visits to Nathula with effect from 01 july, 2007.
The fee shall applytoall visitors to Nathula barring State guests and departmental guests of home department of Government of Sikkim.
