Gangtok:The ChiefMinister Pawan Chamling has congratulated the country's first woman president Ms.Pratibha Patil on assuming the highest office of country.
In his letter dated. July25 to Ms. Patil, the Chief Minister has extended his heartiest congratulations to Madam President.
The letter of Dr.Chamling reads ,"The people of Sikkim are overjoyed on her over whelming choice and the democracy in India has acquired a new dimension and received a welcome impetus by electing the first woman president of the country.
The Chief Minister has further said ,"We are confidence that under your experienced leadership and matured guidance,the country will march towards greater peace and prosperity".
