GANGTOK: S ahitya Srijana Sahakari Samiti – a newly formed NGO of Sikkim eyeing promotion of Nepali culture and literature, today earmarked a new milestone by way of launching a fresh website namely www.tistarangit.com.
This first online literary magazine on Sikkim was formally launched today in a happy note here at the Press Club of Sikkim with SB Subedi, the Minister for Forest & Wild Life as the chief guest.
The launching event attended by congregation literary figures, also saw CD Rai, President to the Press Club of Sikkim as the guest of honor. The website is said to cater imperative informations of Nepali literature along with latest news and analysis, editorial, interviews and more.
Parasmani Sam, the President of the Samiti informed the gathering today that more than 58 thousand people worldwide has already logged in the site since its informal inception. He too kept his expectation on the fact that the first website will make the culture, tradition and literature of Sikkim flourish all over the world.
The chief guest SB Subedi, while congratulating the endeavour of the Samiti, remarked the web magazine as a vital representative of Sikkimese ethnicity and literature. Mentioning it as a first-of-its-kind of web magazine in Sikkim, he emphasized on making it more elaborate and informative.
Formed last year in the month of November, the Samiti presently has 21 enrolled members.
