
The cheerful scenario was reverberating with traditional Tibetan folklore presented by school students and students from performing arts Kalimpong. Apart from lot of dancing enjoyed by the gathered devotees, there was musical burlesque of modern Tibetan songs by the band of 7 Vikas Regiment from Rabongla.
The struggle of Tibetans was captured in the frames in the Monastery under the title, “Journey in Exile” and “Long Look Home Ward”. A Photo Exhibition was inaugurated by the chief guest Minister HRDD Mr. N K Pradhan on the occasion of the birth day celebration of HH the Dalai Lama. Mr. Pradhan on the auspicious occasion said that words are less when speaking about a person of the stature of His Holiness. Adding more Mr. Pradhan stated that The Dalai Lama’s teachings are an ocean of wisdom and everyone should make an endeavor to assimilate them in their daily lives in order to make this land worth living.
