Patanjali Yog Samiti holds protest rally @ Gangtok


GANGTOK, June 7: Patanjali Yog Samiti, Sikkim holds a mass protest rally today here in the capital Gangtok staring from Bansilal Petrol Pump till zero point against the inhuman behavior of the UPA government carried out at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi on 4th June where Baba Ramdev and his supporters were staging a sathyagraha.

While speaking to media, Sikkim in-charge Mahila Patanjali Yog samiti Ms. Pushpa Devi Poudyal informed that Baba Ramdev and his supporters were in a peaceful sathyagraha at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi starting from 4th June but the atrocities the UPA government carried out late night against the old, children, female and the youth who were on sathyagraha is very disappointing and painful.

The movement carried out by baba Ramdev is to bring back the black laundered money to India along with making our nation free from corruption and it is the demand of every Indian citizen. But the way the UPA government reacted and behaved with the supporters and Baba himself is very rude in nature.

Furthermore Ms. Poudyal added that the protest rally held from 4:30 pm to 6pm where more than 500 supporters took part and appealed the people who are moved by the inhumane behavior of the government to come forward and participate in the rally as well.

Ms. Poudyal stated that the Supreme Court has also put forward a show cause notice to the UPA government demanding the real cause for carrying out such inhumane behavior against Baba Ramdev’s sathyagraha movement. She informed that more than one lakhs people of different age group were present in the satyagraha movement of Baba Ramdev who were brutally lathi charged. During the course many people were injured seriously who are presently admitted in the hospital for treatment. Further more Ms. Poudyal said that the incident that took place on 4th of June is really shocking and considering the incident Baba Ramdev has stated 6th and 7th of June to be observed as kala divas nation wide.
