Gangtok Workshop for folk artist

Gangtok: State level workshop for folk artist on standardization of script, folk performance developing state/district resource programme was held on 7th to 10th June at Janta Bhawan, Gangtok. The programme was organized by Sikkim State Aids Control Society (SSACS).
Former Project SSACS director V Singhi was the chief guest. In the programme Kalakunj Natya Sadan, Sakyong, Pacific Club, Menglee, Dasharthik Sangh, Gelling, Mutanchi Lhom Aal Shezom, Dzongu Malling Youth Club, Mangan, Akhil Kirat Rai Sangh, Namchi, Bhurung Puratan Sanskritik Avam Dharohar Sangha, Central Pandam, Voluntary Health Association of Sikkim and Ujjwal Kala Kendra, Deorali participated. The clubs presented stage show and dance on HIV/ Aids. Sanchali Roy and RD Lepcha were present as judges in the programme.
Malling Youth Club, Mangan bagged 1st price, Dashartick Sangh won the 1st runner up Gelling while 2nd runner up was Kalakunj Natya Sadam and Ujjual kala kendra received consolation prize.
