Chairman of Sikkim Tea Board Gagan Rai appeals for beautiful Namchi

Namchi: Chairman of Sikkim Tea Board Gagan Rai has given a call to the people to join hands to make Namchi more beautiful. Mr. Rai was addressing a coordination meeting on Friday at Namchi Municipal Council (NMC) office which was presided by him and attended by Chairman Labour Commission, Pasang Sherpa, Chairmen NMC Budha Tamang, SDM (HQ) Yangchen D. Tamang, Members of Trade Association, Hawker Association, businessmen of Namchi Bazar and the district officials from various departments.
Mr. Rai suggested to the concerned department and NMC to make sign boards with slogans of cleanliness to be displayed in different locations. He thanked to the Chief Minister for giving massive infrastructure for Namchi and said that the people have to save the assets of Namchi while enjoying such facilities.
The meeting decided to shift the vegetable shop of local growers from existing Gangtok road area to parking plaza complex on haat days to avoid the inconvenience of traffic and public. The meeting also decided to give identity cards to the local growers to help them to find place to sell their produce on haat day. The meeting was conducted by Deputy Municipal officer Dushyant Pariyar.
