Enchey monastery: an oasis of Tradition & Culture

Enchey monastey is one of the most famous and beautiful monastery in Gangtok.It is well connected and near to MG road area of Gangtok.Enchey monastery is famous for Diya house a beautiful building built in Tibetan style with thousands of brass diyas filled with ghee.The ghee diyas are decorated in very beautiful manner to see the decoration visit the blog Thousands of ghee diyas.The diya house is located on corner of the monastery and behind the diya house is steep slope.Tourists get very beautiful scene of Gangtok valley and surrounding mountain area from the diya house.Outside entry is not permitted in diya house and people can see the diyas through the glass wall of the house.
The diya house is maintained by the monks of the Enchey monastery.The cleanness of diya house is very astonishing seeing the fact that thousands of ghee diyas are lit.
