Visit “Gangtok at night”. Viewing bridge

GANGTOK,April20:A new touring point has been added in Gangtok for the visiting tourists on the way to Baluwakhani known as “Gangtok at night”. Viewing bridge which is about one and a half kilometer away from MG marg, the main market of capital towards Vajra Cinema hall will be added as the new destination for the tourist to hangout after sunset to get a spectacular view of the capital at night. Speaking to the media, Secretary, Tourism Department SBS Bhaduria informed that the view bridge which is at the final stage of completion will be the new point in the periphery of the capital for tourists.

The view bridge is the first concept which has been carried out by the state government through the department of Tourism where the upper portion of the bridge will be used by the visiting tourist to view the capital at night. Adding further Mr. Bhaduria said that the upper portion of the bridge is fully furnished and will even have a small restaurant along with a readymade coffee house for the tourist.

The total cost of construction of the view bridge is approximately about Rs.50 lakhs. It is also facilitated with toilet and water pipeline considering the comfort of the tourists who will visit this point. Mr. Bhaduria adding further said that there is also a plan of constructing small children’s playing corner in the same place in days to come.

Interestingly Mr. Bhaduria informed that the constructed view bridge have been already leased out to a local unemployed youth and asserted that within few days the view bridge will also be equipped with telescope for attracting more tourists.
