Sanskrit is pride of the nation

Gangtok,October12: Three day National Sanskrit conference on the theme Contribution of North East States to Sanskrit began from October 9 and concluded here at Chintan Bhawan on October 11. First session was based on Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedker’s lecture series with a theme called Pali.
Mr. N.K.Pradhan, Minister for Human Resource Development, was the chief guest. Mr. Pradhan expressed his happiness over the idea to have a lecture on Dr. Ambedkar. Sikkim has always paid respect to him. That is why this state has road and statues dedicated to him.
Sanskrit scholar Vijay Bahadur Singh, Director, Bharatiya Bhasa vibhag, called Sanskrit as “a language of scholars and the pride of nation”. To save this nation, we should accept middle path, which was propagated by Lord Buddha. Pali is a language of mixed culture, created by Buddha, he said adding, this dialect is more powerful than any known language
